Ella M. Stevenson (June 7, 1926 - July 24, 2009)

Ella M. (Kay) Stevenson, 83, of Arcanum, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Mrs. Stevenson was born in Joy, Illinois on June 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Marvin M. and Ella Mae (Kelsey) Walters. She was a retired Registered Nurse, a graduate of the Middletown Hospital School of Nursing; member of the Army Cadet Nursing Corp. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Church Choir, and Christian Science Guild. Ella was a member of the Arcanum Criterion Club. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband John A. Kay who died December 11, 1973, 2 brothers Paul and Henry Walters. Ella was the loving wife of John E. Stevenson; Mother of Anne (Kay) Michel and husband Rev Dr. David of Huntertown, IN and Julie (Kay) Ullery and husband Daryl of Winchester, KY; Grandmother of Corrine, Allison, and Jon Michel, James Ullery and wife Brooke, Katherine Ullery; Sister of Ralph Walters and wife Alice, of Princeton, IN and Marvin Walters and wife Joanne of Altaloma, CA; and Aunt of many Nieces and Nephews. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM, August 14, 2009 at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford, KY with Rev Dr. David Michel officiating. A memorial service will be held August 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Faith United Methodist Church, Arcanum with Rev Tom Hite and Rev Paul Chastain officiating.
