Emmett A. Todd (May 17, 1920 - July 4, 2009)

Emmett A. Todd, 89, of Arcanum, died early Saturday morning, July 4th, 2009 in Lewisburg. Mr Todd had been in failing health. Emmett was born in Cambridge, Ohio, May 17, 1920, the son of the late George Washington and Irene Jane (Chalfan) Todd. Mr Todd was a retired employee NCR, Dayton, retiring in 1972. He was a Veteran of the Army serving in WW II. Emmett was preceded in death by his wife Vera Todd who died April 25, 2006, and by 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Parker and husband Orville and Karen Shiverdecker and husband Richard both of Lewisburg; 4 sons, James Todd and wife Carol of Lewisburg, Ron Todd of Clayton, Ed Todd and wife Sandy of Greenville, Thomas Todd and wife Angie of Arcanum; 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Noon Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Pastor Rodney Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington where Military graveside services will be conducted by the Preble County Honor Guard.
