Marilyn J. Weaver (November 3, 1936 - July 14, 2009)

Marilyn J. Weaver, 72, of Arcanum, died unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, July 14, 2009 at Wayne Hospital, Greenville. Mrs. Weaver was born in Arcanum on November 3, 1936, the daughter of the late Jesse and Mabel (Houdeshell) Strawser. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Arcanum and a member of their Christian Service Guild. She worked as a clerk for the Arcanum Public Library for 28 years. Marilyn is survived by her husband Jon B. Weaver, whom she married September 24, 1957; daughters Holly J. Besecker of Greenville and Mary B. Weaver of Arcanum; Grandchildren Atlanta Moore, Tammy Cockerham, and Jessalyn Besecker; Step Grandson Jason Cockerham; Sisters Charlotte Laughman of Arcanum and Phyllis Jones and husband Bill of Hillsboro; Brother Don Strawser and wife Jeannie of Greenville; Brother-in-law Robert Albright of Columbus. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Rev Paul Chastain officiating. Burial will follow in Ithaca Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday 5 - 8 PM at the funeral home. Family suggests memorial contributions to the Arcanum Public Library or the American Heart Association.
