Arlene A. Miller (October 17, 2009)

Mrs. Arlene A. Miller, 96, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8:10 AM at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio. She was born on August 28, 1913 in Lewisburg, Ohio to the late John and Julia (Custenborder) Schlosser.

Arlene worded at Corning Glass Work for 20 years before retiring in 1977 and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Greenville and loved flowers.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Ralph E. Miller whom she married on April 11, 1932; sisters, Lydia Hoffman, Alva Disher, Florence Schlosser and Mary Ellen Schlosser; brothers, William, Elmer, Hugh, Everitt, Kenneth, Harold and Russell Schlosser.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Rev. Lowell E. and Joyce Miller of Greenville, Ohio; grandchildren, Darolyn (Mark) Peterson, Eugene (Gail) Miller and Joel (Sallie) Miller; great grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Polley, Tyler Peterson, Caleb Peterson, Amy Miller, Matthew Nash and Bradley Nash; great great grandchildren, Madison and Logan Polley; sisters in law, Edna Schlosser of Greenville, Ohio and Noma Schlosser of Pitsburg, Ohio; 27 nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews.

There will be a service held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 306 Devor Rd., Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Doug Klinsing officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Creek Cemetery, Bradford, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 12:30 – 2:00 PM at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
