L. Isabel Swabb, 87, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Isabel was born in West Milton, Ohio on September 3, 1922 to the late Herbert and Cecil Lee. She was a homemaker and enjoyed camping, her pets and spending time with family. Isabel was a member of the Ft. Black Eastern Star and New Madison United Methodist Church.
Isabel is survived by her husband of 62 years, Miles James Swabb whom she married on May 10, 1947; three children, Steven (Carol) Swabb of Castine, Bonnie (Chris) Laux of New Madison and Saundra (Carl) Hoover of New Madison; 7 grandchildren, Shawn (Shelly) Swabb, Dennis Swabb, Shannan (Fred) Marshall and Miles Stump all of New Madison, Danielle Stump of Greenville, Laura Irish (Luke Scowcroft) of Nelson, New Zealand and Brandon Irish of Rantoul, Illinois; 6 great-grandchildren, Nathan Swabb, Michael Marshall, Levi Stump, Erica Borne, Teagan Stump and Elijah Scowcroft; 2 brothers, Robert (Pat) Lee of Ansonia, and George (Christine) Lee of Sanford, Florida; step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Isabel is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles (Maxine) Lee and Paul David Lee.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 5-7 PM at Storch Braund Funeral Home with an Eastern Star memorial service beginning at 6:45 PM. The funeral service will be Thursday, October 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Kasunic being asked to officiate. Burial will immediately follow in Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, Ohio.
