Willodene Goodwin, 93, of New Madison, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Brethren Retirement Community where she had resided for a short period of time. Willodene was a resident of Liberty Township. Mrs. Goodwin was born in Glen Karn on August 22, 1916, the daughter of the late Samuel J. Tilden and Blanche (Clark) Hoke. She was a member of Beech Grove Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Goodwin was a former clerical worker for the government. She was preceded in death by her first husband Curly Hines and her second husband Charles "Chuck" Goodwin, sisters Leon Delk, May Melling, Irene Wash, and Marguerite Wagner, and a brother Charles Hoke. Willodene is survived by her foster Brother Lester Vaughn Melling of Ft. Myers, FL; nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, July 30, 2010 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum, with Pastor Randy Devore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday one hour before the time of services at the funeral home.
