Harry established Brown’s Sweet Shop in Versailles in 1939 where he was still active in its operation. Harry was a veteran of the US Navy. Harry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles; Versailles Masonic Lodge #290 F&AM, 32nd degree Mason of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton; the Versailles VFW and a Charter member of the Versailles Eagles Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Harry is also preceded in death by his wife Dola L. (Bunger) Brown on June 7, 2008 whom he married on January 18, 1939.
Harry is survived by his son, Larry Brown of Versailles; daughter & son-in-law, Arlene & Harold Keiser of North Star; grandchildren, Cynthia Keiser of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Kurt & Niccole Keiser of North Star; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and great nieces & great nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church 204 East Wood Street Versailles, Ohio with Pastor Robert Akins officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions are given to Trinity Lutheran Church in Versailles, State of the Heart Hospice or the Versailles EMS.
