Carol E. (Young) Flatter Jameson, age 74, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 2:55 P.M. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton. Carol was born March 8, 1937 in Richmond, Indiana, to the late Eugene & Belle (Runner) Young.
Carol is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Bruce & Kelly (Hinkle) Flatter of Greenville and Ben & Jayne (Eubank) Flatter of Greenville; step daughters, Deanna (Jameson) Young of Greenville and Brenda (Jameson) Flora of Darke County; 4 grandsons, 3 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; brother & sister-in-law, Dwight & Roxie Young of Woodington; sister, Kay Huffman of Dublin, Georgia; and extended family, Terry & Teresa Elson of Greenville, Lisa Downey of Greenville and Dave Elson of Greenville.
In addition to her parents, Carol is also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Russell Flatter; 2nd husband, Gary Jameson; and brother, Charles Young.
Carol was employed at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Greenville for 33 years where she was head cook and kitchen manager.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville with Pastor Jeff Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
