Ronald is survived by his wife, Joan (Beard) Mowry whom he married August 4, 1977; children, Shelly & Barry Miller of Winchester, Indiana, Ronald E. & Melanie Mowry of Greenville, Joe & Deb Atkinson of Lebanon, Tim & Kaylene Atkinson of McClure and Martie Wimberly of Englewood; 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jim & Sally Mowry of Michigan, Gary & Monica Mowry of Michigan and Jack & Val Mowry of Michigan; and sister-in-law, Delores Mowry of Michigan.
In addition to his father, Ronald is also preceded in death by a step son, Russell Anthony Atkinson; and a brother, Dan Mowry.
Ronald served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ronald retired in 2007 from Huntington Bank with 40 years of service in the banking industry. Ronald was very active in the Christian Motorcycle Association. He was a former member of the Greenville Lions Club.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Earl Wagner and Pastor Dale Boeger officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg Cemetery in Gettysburg with Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
