She is survived by her children, John Grisez of Chicago, ILL, Michael Grisez of Greenville, Phyllis (Leroy Sr.) Ahrns of Sidney, OH, Robert Francis (Tracy) Grisez of Magnolia, KY, Francis Grisez Jr. of New Madison, OH, Nick Grisez of Gettysburg, and Susan Mary (Doyle) Derr of Gettysburg, OH; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; daughter in law, Martha Grisez of Gettysburg; siblings, Leo L. Barga of Arkansas and Ruby Cool of Greenville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Grisez Sr.; sons, David & Thomas Grisez, siblings, Velma Thibeu, Eileen Christian, June Barga, Dale Barga, George Barga, Eldon Barga, Lowell Barga and Wayne Barga.
Barbara was a homemaker. She loved reading, gardening, pets, bingo and going to the Darke County Fair and was a member of TOPS.
There will be a service held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the St. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Newport, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions are given to the Darke County Humane Society or State of the Heart Hospice.
