John is survived by his wife of 63 years Sue (Manuel) Searls of Greenville; daughters, Diana Baker, Rebecca Searls and Gretchen Price; son and daughter in law, Mark & Linda Searls; grandchildren, Jahn and Christopher Price and Courtney, Kimberly and Mathew Searls; 10 great grandchildren; and nephew, Bob Searls.
He was a member of the United States Navy serving in WWII. Also a member of the First Universalist Church of New Madison, Greenville Masonic Lodge #143 for over 50 years, VFW, Elks, Greenville Toastmasters and Randolph County Art Association. John worked at Bornell Supply Company in Piqua, Ohio, and then worked at American Aggregates for 17 years. John really enjoyed Painting.
There will be a private memorial service held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions are given to the Greenville Toastmasters or First Universalist Church of New Madison.
