Cassie Jo Sleppy (August 24, 2019)

Cassie Jo Sleppy, 45, of Ansonia, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.

Cassie was born on July 10, 1974, in Greenville, Ohio to Randy Evans of Greenville, Ohio, and Jane Price of Greenville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death her grandparents, Albert and Juanita Mayo; and her ex-husband, Doug Sleppy.

Cassie had a heart overflowing with love and faith. She was an amazing mother, Daughter and Sister and aunt. Dez was her pride and joy. She was selfless and caring. She loved taking care of others and would always put everyone else before herself. Cassie had a faith that could move mountains. Her favorite book in the Bible was Genesis. Cassie enjoyed worshiping to Christian music. She enjoyed watching sermons by one of her favorite preachers,Sid Roth. She loved receiving her "signs from God" in the forms of hearts and soaring birds.

Cassie loved all God's creations, great and small. She enjoyed nature, and loved passing the time walking trails with Dez and her "Boys" Oliver and Sarge.When not walking trails she worked countless hours on her inventions. Her inventions gave her hope and purpose for over 10+ years. Her devotion to God's creatures helped to steer her toward starting her own animal sanctuary. She loved her family and friends and impacted their lives in countless ways.

In addition to her parents, Cassie is survived by her daughter, Dez Sleppy and her girlfriend Darienne Marcum of Ansonia; her fiancé Tony T. Stephens of Ansonia; her sister, Brandy Stastny and her husband Scott of Greenville; her step-father, Tommy Price of Greenville; her niece and nephew, Serena and Gavin Stastny; her grandmother, Janet Phillips of Union City, Ohio; her "Boys" Oliver and Sarge; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Cassie's life will be held at 7:00PM on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus. Private Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Brookville, Ohio.

Family and friends may visit on Friday from 4:00PM until the time of the service at 7:00PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Darke County Humane Society, 7053 ST RT 49, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
