Shirley is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, David & Susi Byram of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Roxann Byram of Greenville; grandchildren, Matthew Byram, Kaley Byram and Addison Byram; brother, Richard Davis of Dayton; sister-in-law, Barbara Davis of Tipp City; life-long friend, Bertha Hildebrand of Greenville; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by her husband, William Dwight Byram; son, Alan J. Byram; and sister, Clara Christie.
Shirley attended the Coletown School District 10 for 8 years and graduated from Greenville High School in 1953. Shirley was a private secretary at Cassel Insurance for 6 years, former owner of Byram’s Garage & Sohio Station and manager of Byram’s Park. Shirley also worked at Sheller Globe in Union City, Indiana. Shirley was a member of Coletown Congregational Christian Church and Ladies Aid, V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary #1830, Sugarvalleyettes Card Club, charter member of Annie Oakley Campers Club and life member of the National Ladies Auxiliary to WWI Ohio 1830.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Coletown Congregational Christian Church 2876 St. Rt. 571 West Greenville with Pastor Eric Knight and Rev. Debbie Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
