Everett Leon Hart
Everett Leon Hart, 80, passed away peacefully in the presence of family after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born at home outside of Castine, Ohio November 28, 1937 to Roy and Martha Kirkhoff Hart, the fourth of five children, graduating from New Madison High School in 1955. He began working for Corning Glass and worked with his family on the farm until his mother told him it was time to get married. He then met his wife Constance Lou Stonerock and they were married Sept 27, 1959, settling in Greenville.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elden, Willard, and Leonard Hart.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, he will be deeply missed by his, daughter Dr. Roxanne Cech of Marietta, Ohio, son Gregory (Laura) of Oakwood, the greatest joys of his life, grandchildren: Andrew Cech, Stephanie Cech, Connor Hart, Garrett Hart, and Kellen Hart, sister Susan Begley of Garden Grove California, and sister and brother in law Susan and Dennis Ream of Kettering, sister in law Henrietta Hart as well as many nieces and nephews.

He hung spouting with his father in law and dug ditches. But in 1973 he started Nu-Way Farm Systems and became a well-known and respected steel contractor. He developed innovations which were copied nationally but was best known for all the work he did for farmers getting their grain bins up and working every year.
One of the most important events in his life was becoming a charter member of Toastmasters International Club in Greenville. Those skills enabled him to provide leadership to several organizations, including the Darke County Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the agriculture committee, Chamber Ambassador, and as president in 1977. He was named Businessman of the Year. His Christian faith was at the center of his being and was involved in leadership at St. John Lutheran Church many years and later was welcomed by the congregation of Oakland Church of the Brethren. Known to play as hard as he worked, Everett was a sportsman. Over the year he played all sports, mostly playing golf with the Corning guys and 4 wheeling and snowmobiling across the northern US with his buddies.
