Jonathan L. Schutz, age 63, passed away at 2:40 PM Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Piqua Ohio. He was born on April 8, 1952 to Caroline (Stephan) Schutz of Piqua, Ohio and the late Carl Schutz.In addition to his mother, 2 brothers and 1 sister, David and Karen Schutz, Versailles, Mark and Linda Schutz, Willowdell and Ruth Schutz, Cincinnati, survive him. Also nephews Wes Schutz, Ashley and Danielle Schutz, Ryan Schutz and Chelsea Kolling, Jason and Janice Schutz, and Nathan and Carla Schutz, great nephews and nieces, Austin and Ethin Schutz, Raylynn and Philomena Schutz, Emory and Evan Schutz and Morgan Schutz.
He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Willowdell where he served as Parish Council president. Jonathan was a heavy equipment mechanic and formerly worked at Willowdell Sales, Lefelds, and most recently Droesch Farm Service. He was a long time member of the Versailles Council of Churches.
Funeral services will be Friday March 11, 2016 at 10:30 am at St Paul Lutheran Church, Willowdell, Ohio, with Pastor Laura Shreffler officiating. Family will receive friends at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 4-8 PM and again from 9:30 - 10:30 AM Friday at the church.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations are made to St Paul Lutheran Church in Willowdell.
