Susann L. Mendenhall, age 76 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully at 8:40 PM on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center, Greenville, Ohio. Born in Jefferson County, West Virginia on April 7, 1943 she was the only child to the late Juan Geraldo & Edna Louise (Appell) Acousta. Susann had been an X-Ray Technician for 28 years at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle, Indiana. She was a member of the Greenville Church of the Brethren and had previously served as Deacon at the Nettle Creek Church in Hagerstown, Indiana. She enjoyed collecting coins, had a strong Christian faith; and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her grandmother Jessie E. Appell: Aunt and loving friend Ellis Kathleen Appell Whittington.
Survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Mendenhall, whom she married March 21, 1965: son Greg Mendenhall: daughters Stacia Fenton and Jane Fryback: grandchildren Daniel M. Fenton; Morgan D. Fenton; Tyler J. Sharp; Alex R. Fryback; Cristina M. Fryback; Devan Fryback; Katie Fryback: great-grandchildren Brayden Sharp; Carson Sharp; Ava Fryback; Elouise Fryback; McKenna Kinley; Gunnar Brinker: cousin Marleen Whittington: sister-in-law Evelyn Rentz: as well as many more extended family members, cousins, and friends.
