Lola “Marie” Bucholtz age 84 formerly of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at 8:05 AM at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio. Marie was born on December 24, 1925 in Lucas, Kentucky, to the late Edward and Mary Ellen (Tinsley) Brooks.
She was a Homemaker and also worked at the United Telephone Company as a cashier. She was a member and very active at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church where she taught Sunday School for 25 years and was a Deaconess.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Russell Bucholtz on October 6, 2009 and married on May 18, 1947; son, Jim Bucholtz; grandson, Ted Harpest; and sister, Loureed Coate.
She is survived by her children and spouses, Ron and Karen Bucholtz of Greenville, Sharon and Fred Harpest of Greenville, and Tim Bucholtz of Arcanum, Ohio; grandchildren, Ned Bucholtz, Ben Bucholtz, Lyndie (Nate) Sabin, Karie Harpest, and Kaci Harpest.
There will be a service held on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville with Pastor Doug Klinsing officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 3, 2010 from 2-5 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church or State of the Heart Hospice.
