Momma D. was influential in the lives of the youth in the community through directing plays and musicals, Devotion in Motion, teaching Sunday School, and as a Girl Scout Leader. She was active in the Versailles Christian Church, Towne & Country Players, Versailles Garden Club, Darke County Emmaus, and Solid Rock Church Camp.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Donnelly of Versailles, whom she married June 27, 1970; children and spouses: Karen and Charles Moeller of Kettlersville, Ohio; Ben Donnelly and fiancée Rachel Gorshe of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Jill and Brant Stagg of Cincinnati; grandchildren: Nathan Moeller, Natalie Moeller, Julie Moeller, Justin Moeller, and Eli Stagg; brother and sister-in-law: Joseph and Rebecca Recher of Dayton, Ohio; sister & brother-in-law: Susan and Charles Smith of Omaha, Nebraska.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Versailles Christian Church, 105 West Ward Street, Versailles, Ohio, with Pastor Dennis Wheeler and Rev. Dr. Kim Katterheinrich officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at church.
