Cynthia M. "Cindy" Varvel (July 15, 2011)

Cynthia M. "Cindy" Varvel, 60, of Arcanum, died Friday evening, July 15, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Varvel was born in Troy on December 24, 1950, the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Lynch) Steele. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenville. She was employed at Sam's Club in Vandalia. Mrs. Varvel was preceded in death by her son Todd Allen Varvel. Cindy is survived by her husband Ernest "Ernie" Varvel, whom she married December 6, 1969; Daughters Kami Stump and husband Miles of Greenville and Keri Niekamp and husband Scott of St. Henry; Grandchildren Kelsi, Kody, and Marissa Roark, Preston Crist; Step Grandchildren Levi Stump and Kylar Niekamp; Brothers Nick Steele of California and Jeff Steele and wife Debbie of Pleasant Hill. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Fr. John White officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 1 Hour before the time of services. Family suggests memorial contributions to State of the Heart Home Health & Hospice, 1350 N.
