Pamela Bell Anderson, 65, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away in Chicago, Illinois, on Friday, October 21, 2011, of natural causes. She was born on May 10, 1946, in Dayton, Ohio to the late James and Wanetta Bell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Robert Bell and James R. Bell, and her sister Maxine (Bell) Ayers. She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Christopher and Kylie; granddaughter, Elaine; sister, Betty (Bell) Gridley; and many nieces and nephews. Pam worked in the Purchasing Department at Ohio Wesleyan University for 35 years, before retiring in January 2011.
A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Pam was a generous spirit, who was the first to help someone in need. She loved children and was ecstatic when she became a grandmother to Elaine in June. She touched many people’s lives and will be missed deeply by all who knew her.
Services will be held Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial will follow at the Greenville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Make a Wish Foundation, www.wish.org.
