Sue A. (Widener) Frye, 70, of Huber Heights, passed away Sue A. (Widener) Frye, 70, of Huber Heights, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 5, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton.
She was born March 9, 1942 in Dayton, the daughter of the late John William and Evelyn (Mitchel) Widener. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Jack" Frye.
Sue had spent many years as an employee of Frisch's, Ryans and Delphi.
A loving mother, grandmother, sister and a giving friend, Sue is survived by her children, Beth (Lou) Long of Huber Heights, Jim (Deb) Widener of South Charleston, and John (Debra) Frye of Hamilton; a granddaughter, Katelyne Hodou; step grandchildren, Katie Long (Matt), Nicholas Long (Tiffany), and Gary Jenkins; great grandchildren, Gabriel Hopkins and Noah Long; brothers, Albert Widener (Grace), Harry "Eddie" Widener, Raymond "Butch" Widener, Ron Widener (Kathy), John Widener (Julie), Dann "Slug" Widener (Pam); sisters, Sharon Bowman and Roselynne Widener; and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends Bob and Carol Royce and family.
Services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, September 8, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, 1000 N. Broadway St., Greenville, OH. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township Memorial Gardens near Greenville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be given to Hospice of Dayton.
