She was a homemaker and retired from the maintenance work at the Kettering Carillon Towers.
Rita enjoyed camping and family get togethers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William J. “Bill” Riegle. They were married December 31, 1954. Also by a son Douglas Lee Riegle.
Rita is survived by a daughter and son in law Sheryl and Wayne Lavy of Greenville; sons and daughter in law Mark and Ramona Riegle of Greenville, Richard Riegle of Irving, Texas and Thomas Riegle of Arcanum. Grandchildren Janell (Jason) Ross, Nick (Elly) Lavy, Robert Riegle, Chelsea Riegle, Jessica (Travis) Qualls and Justin Riegle. Also 10 great grandchildren; brother and sister in law Glenn and Charlotte Gessler of North Carolina; sister and brother in law Karen and Don Newbauer of Greenville, sister in law Janice (Duane) Hansbarger and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday January 14, 2013 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Ft. Jefferson, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until time of the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Greenville Area Rescue Squad.
