Amber Lacey Kiser age 30, of Greenville passed away at 11:37 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. Amber was born December 14, 1986, in Union City, Indiana.
Amber is survived by her mother & step father, Vickie (Mills) & Kenny Yoder of Ansonia; son, Trey Walker Kiser; sister & brother-in-law, Tonya & Dan Cline of Greenville; brother, Brian Roth of Union City, Indiana; paternal grandmother, Patricia Roth of Union City, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Amber was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Roth.
Amber was a STNA at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. She was a member of Bible Fellowship Church in Greenville.

A. Gene McGuire (April 20, 2017)
A. Gene McGuire, age 71 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 8:00 AM Thursday April 20, 2017 at his residence. Gene was born May 10, 1945 in Greenville, Ohio and the son of the late Ermel McGuire and Lucille (Hayes) “McGuire” Hickey.
He was retired from Hittle GMC of Greenville as a Service Writer and later had worked at Dean’s Automotive and part time seasonal work at the Darke County Fairgrounds.
Gene was a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge, a true outdoors man loving to hunt, fish camp and any and all sports.
Gene is survived by his wife Carolyn (Boolman) McGuire of Greenville. They were married June 2, 1989. Also his sons Barry McGuire, Tim McGuire and Scott McGuire all of Greenville; step children Kim (Clint) Falls of Texas, Lisa Schlechty of Greenville and Charles (Penny) Schlechty of Texas; 10 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers Craig (Cindy) McGuire, Dale (Linda) McGuire and Larry McGuire all of Greenville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday April 25, 2017 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Ermil Evonne Dunwoody, 93, of Yorkshire, passed away on April 19, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on June 28, 1923 in Mercer County, OH, to the late Charles and Hattie (Stetler) Shope.
In addition to her parents, Ermil is preceded in death by her son, Paul Ray Dunwoody, her sisters, Bernice Shope and Irene Donovan and her brother, Carl Stetler.
Ermil was a member of the North Star Congregational Christian Church. She enjoyed giving flowers to people, visiting with neighbors, vegetable gardening, crocheting and reading emails and letters from people. She loved to bake bread, pies and especially making noodles and pot pie.
Ermil is survived by her husband, Rev. Charles Dunwoody of Yorkshire, her daughters, Sally and Richard Peterson of Yorkshire, Jane and David Good of Yorkshire, and Sue Dunwoody (Craig Dieringer) of Hilo, HI; grandchildren, Julia, Amy, Cami, Jenny, Becky, Aaron and Micheal; great grandchildren, Katie, Felicia, Toby, Paige and Ben.

Russell M. Huffman age 82, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 10:45 PM on Monday, April 17, 2017, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville. Russell was born June 8, 1934, in Richmond, Indiana to the late James L. & Ellen Mae (Moffett) Huffman.
Russell is survived by his daughters, Diana Gallegos of Greenville and Sue Ellen Clark of Lebanon; grandchildren, Robert & Jennifer Weyant III, Nolan & Jenna Bousman and Zachary Clark; and a great-granddaughter, Ayla Weyant.
Russell was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Rita J. (Smith) Huffman on March 9, 2017 whom he married October 30, 1954; and 10 brothers and sisters.
Russell was a mechanic; he owned and operated Huffman Alignment in Greenville until his retirement. He was a member of the Lowell Thomas Lodge #83 FOPA for 28 years where he served as President for 14 years.

She had been employed for 12 years at GTI and enjoyed participating in bowling leagues at Treaty Lanes and spending time at the “Lazy R” campgrounds.
She was preceded in death by 2 uncles Dennis and Steve Young.
Tracy’s survivors in addition to her parents are her husband David C. Baerwald of Greenville. They were married July 7, 2001. Donald “Donnie” Marker, 53, of Greenville, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017 from a massive heart attack. He was born on January 13, 1964 in Greenville to the late Harley and Clara (Vannoy) Marker.
In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by several brothers.
Donnie built homes for Habitat for Humanity of Dayton. He enjoyed hunting, drag racing, and helping people when he could. He restored old, antique cars and resold them. Most of all, Donnie loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Donnie is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tracy (Caupp) Marker of Greenville, whom he married on October 1, 1988 at the his parent's homestead; step son, Jamie Caupp of Greenville; his daughters, Brittany and Matt Zunke of Piqua and Sierra Marker of Kenton, Ohio; grandchildren, Allisa Forsythe, Izzy Forsythe, Gavin Zunke and Channing Duke-Zunke; one brother; three sisters; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Doug Lyme of Greenville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Chris and Jill Caupp of Greenville and Terry and Patty Caupp of Gettysburg; close friends, Ben and Pam Kimmel of Greenville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Eric Fee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens.

Eva N. Shuttleworth, age 88 of Greenville, Ohio went to be with the Lord 3:05 AM Thursday April 6, 2017 at the Hospice Healthcare Center Greenville, Ohio. Eva was born March 29, 1929 to Vernon and Bertha L. (Rutrough) Garber.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Harold E. Myers February 10, 1989; son Charles E. Myers; brothers Virgil Garber as a stillborn infant, Paul Garber, Ezra Garber and sister Opal Bayer.
She was a member of the Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church for 50 some years. She loved working in her church doing many different things. She was a housewife and worked for the former GC Murphy Company 23 years and the former Uhlman Department Store for 10 years.
She leaves in passing her husband Marvin L. Shuttleworth of Greenville. Two Children Galen (Sandy) Myers and Pam (Jerry) Sowers; four grandchildren Nanette (Matt) Bell, Angela (Heath) Finfrock, Brian Sowers and Jonathan Myers; nine great grandchildren Micheala Bell, Kelsea Bell, Alexis Sowers, Ashley Sowers, Katrina Sowers, Chaia Sowers, Jarin Sowers, twins Haley and Brieanna Finfrock. Margaret Yvonne Ridenour (April 7, 2017)
Margaret Yvonne Ridenour of Versailles, Ohio, passed away on Friday morning, April 7, 2017, at the Versailles Health Care Center. Yvonne was born March 31, 1932, to the late Orville and Edna Crowell. She was married to the late Philip D. Ridenour on February 10, 1951. She is survived by their daughter Gretchen Ridenour Sahlin and son-in-law Monte Sahlin of Kettering, Ohio; granddaughter Najwa Jones and grandson-in-law Todd Jones of Washington Township, Ohio; two step-granddaughters and son-in-laws, Melissa and Gianluca Bruno of Landen, Ohio, and Stephanie and Santosh Jackson of Takoma Park, Maryland; three step-great grandsons and a step-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her cousins Doug and Pat Crowell, Ron and Arianne Henry, their daughters Madison and Gracie, Mary Jane and Nick Engler and family, Dane and Karen Crowell and family, and Joyce Crooks and family.
Yvonne worked at American Budget and owned Yvonne's Fashion Shop in Versailles. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and other organizations in the community. All her friends over the years gave her much enjoyment.

Dorothy Esther Shives, 98, of Greenville, passed away early Saturday morning, April 8, 2017, at Rest Haven.
She was born November 8, 1918, in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, to the late Emanuel and Edna (Iddings) Wion.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James N. Shives, Sr., whom she married June 21, 1941; her son, James N. Shives, Jr.; and four brothers, Robert, William, Raymond, and Richard Wion.
Dorothy was active most of her life and loved to travel. Dorothy enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and listening to music. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and was Worthy Matron of Gettysburg chapter. Dorothy made her family a priority and always made time for and was active in all the family functions.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Jonette Dee “Joni” Shives of Greenville and Jon Michael “Mike” Shives of Gettysburg; her sister, Mildred Bourne of Vandalia and her brother, Delbert Wion of West Milton; and her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Burial in Gettysburg Cemetery will be later this spring.

Tom loved his family and friends. Tom’s special interests included riding horses, fishing, and gardening.

Eva retired in 1996 from the former Ulhman Clothing Store and prior to her employment there had worked at G. C. Murphy Store, both of Greenville.
She was a very active member of the Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church serving as a Communion Stewart, Altar Guild, Church Council, Sunday School Superintendent and Secretary, the church Dart Ball Team and President of the United Methodist Women. She was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Harold E. Myers, son Charles E. Myers, brothers Virgil T. Garber as a stillborn infant, Paul Garber and Ezra Garber and sister Opal Bayer.
Eva is survived by her husband Marvin L. Shuttleworth of Greenville. They were married August 1, 1992. Also children Galen L. (Sandy) Myers, Pamela S. (Jerry) Sowers, all of Piqua, Gregory A. Eva retired in 1996 from the former Ulhman Clothing Store and prior to her employment there had worked at G. C. Murphy Store, both of Greenville.
She was a very active member of the Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church serving as a Communion Stewart, Altar Guild, Church Council, Sunday School Superintendent and Secretary, the church Dart Ball Team and President of the United Methodist Women. She was also an avid Cincinnati Reds fan.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Harold E. Myers, son Charles E. Myers, brothers Virgil T. Garber as a stillborn infant, Paul Garber and Ezra Garber and sister Opal Bayer.
Eva is survived by her husband Marvin L. Shuttleworth of Greenville. They were married August 1, 1992. Also children Galen L. (Sandy) Myers, Pamela S. (Jerry) Sowers, all of Piqua, Gregory A. (Donna) Shuttleworth of Villa Hills, KY and Mark L. (Jennifer) Shuttleworth of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Nanette Bell, Angela Finfrock, Brian Sowers and Jonathan Myers; great grandchildren Alexis Sowers, Katrina Sowers, Ashley Sowers, Micheala Bell, Kelsea Bell, Chaia Sowers, Jarin Sowers, Daniel Shuttleworth and Addison Shuttleworth; sister Ida Mae Klosterman of Greenville; sisters in law Mildred Garber of Greenville and Bonnie (Joe) Hufnagle of Okeechobee, Florida as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday April 10, 2017 at the Fort Jefferson United Methodist Church 3856 Church Street Fort Jefferson, Ohio with Pastors David Brisker and John McRoberts co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery Fort Jefferson. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of services in the church.

Ruth E. "Ellie" Bowman, 94, of Greenville and formerly of Rossburg, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Village Green. She was born March 4, 1923 in Rossburg, to the late Frank and Maude (Cundiff) Campbell.
In addition to her parents, Ellie is preceded in death by her husband, Millard H. Bowman, whom she married March 2, 1945; her infant son, Millard H. Bowman, Jr.; her foster son, Paul David Young; her five, brothers, Sam, Jake, Richard, Gene and Neal Campbell; her six sisters, Edna Lenker, Daisy Subler, Aileen Mason, Betty Brown, Pauline Zechar and Gertie Leis.
Ellie is survived by her daughter, Carol (Stan) Cox of Rossburg; granddaughter, Kristy Brewer; foster grandchildren, Denise Young-Schepis and Darin Young; step grandchildren, Lori (Scott) Billenstein and Traci (Charlie) Hinshaw; sister-in-law, Karen (Duane) Mote; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Paul C. Woodard, age 89 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 4:20 AM Thursday April 6, 2017 at his residence in Greenville. Paul was born October 20, 1927 in Boone, NC and the son of the late Lorenzo D. and Ellafair (Calloway) Woodard.
Paul retired in 1991 from RTA of Dayton, where he had driven a bus. He was a Veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy.
He attended the Abbottsville Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion, Greenville Eagles Lodge and loved to play solitaire and jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia (Wheeler) Woodard in 1992; brother Roy Woodard and sister Louise Buchanan.
Paul is survived by his wife Delores (Fourman) “Stoner” Woodard of Greenville. They were married April 16, 1994. She taught at Anna Schools in the early 60’s, then at Versailles Schools before retiring in the early 90’s and was a graduate of Wittenberg University

She was a member of the Oakland Church of the Brethren, The V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Greenville, The Retiree Friendship Club of Troy, The Treaty City Shuffleboard Club, The Hobart Retirees Club of Troy, and the Leisure Acre Park Club of Sebring, Florida.

Richard Allen Burch (April 2, 2017)
Richard Allen Burch, 86, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Dayton.
He was born October 31, 1930 in Fremont, Ohio, to the late Clifford L. and Gladis O. (Printz) Burch.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his first wife, Vivian B. Spain; two brothers, Clifford and Denver Burch; and a sister, Margie Brewer.
Richard attended Piqua Schools then worked as a mechanic in Brooklyn, New York. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1949 to 1952 where he was a Teletype Operator. Following his military service, he worked in the maintenance department at Hartzell’s in Piqua. Richard Retired from Chrysler in Dayton in 1990 after 28 years as a Quality Inspector. Physical fitness and martial arts were Richards passions. He loved exercising and weight lifting. Richard was a 3rd degree black belt in Karate and taught karate in Troy from 1960 to 1972. He competed in many tournaments and was undefeated. During one such tournament in Toronto, Canada, in 1968, Richard met his idol, the legendary Bruce Lee. From 1972 to 1980, he taught physical fitness classes at the Piqua YMCA. Richard spoke fluent German which he taught to himself and his greatest achievement was getting his pilot’s license. He had several nicknames, such as Pinky, Muscle Man and Stone Man. Richard was a member of both the Greenville American Legion, Post 140 and Piqua, Post 184 as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2177 in Greenville. He loved his family and grandchildren. Those who knew Richard could always expect a joke or one of his favorite sayings, “every day above ground is a good day” and “I’m still kicking, just not as high”.
Richard is survived by his wife of 18 years, Joyce (Cooper) Burch, whom he married November 14, 1998; three children, Linda (Craig) Cota of Covington, Rowdy (Julie) Burch of West Milton and Teresa (Ron) Miller of Covington; grandchildren, Alicia (Brock) Fields of Covington, Lindsay (Chris) Trudell of Michigan, Lane Miller of Covington, Brit Marcelin of Florida, and Jada Burch of Kentucky; great grandchildren, Marisa Fields and Logan Fields, both of Covington, Mackenzie Trudell of Michigan and Cayden Dyche of Kentucky; and two sisters, Shirley (Gene) Gantt and Karen (Sam) Burkett both of Piqua. Richard is also survived by two step daughters, Rebecca Marcelin and Donna Labate both of Piqua; and a step son, Thomas (Lynda) Higgins of Sidney.
A memorial service, with full military honors provided by the Greenville Honor Guard, will be held Friday, April 07, 2017, promptly at 5PM at the Greenville American Legion, 325 North Ohio Street in Greenville.
Burial will be in the Dayton National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

Dan C. Myers, age 64 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 2:00 AM Saturday April 1, 2017 in Dayton, Ohio. Dan was born March 28, 1953 in Cridersville, Ohio and the son of the late Rolland and Ruth (Moorman) Myers.
Dan had driven truck for many years and most recently was employed the last 6 years with A L Smith of Versailles.
He was a veteran serving 4 years in the US Navy and held a Black Belt in Tang-soo-do.
Dan is survived by his wife Kathy (Weyant) Myers of Greenville. They were married June 6, 2015. Also son Gabriel C. Myers of Miamisburg; step sons Kirt (Mindy) Fletcher of Greenville, Scott Fletcher of Lafayette, Louisiana and William A. (Lori) Fletcher of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren Alyvia Myers, Emma Myers, Justin (Jessica) Fletcher, Jordan (Lee Duncan) Fletcher, Madison Fletcher, Trey Fletcher, Troy Fletcher, Kiara Fletcher, Jerry Emerson, Charlie Shepard and Chelsea Shepard and great grandchildren Silas Duncan, Benson Duncan, Bronx Bush, Brilei Fletcher, Bostyn Bailey and Jaeyden Emerson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday April 5, 2017 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Matt Godown officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until time of the service in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County.

Dan had driven truck for many years and most recently was employed the last 6 years with A L Smith of Versailles.
He was a veteran serving 4 years in the US Navy and held a Black Belt in Tang-soo-do.
Dan is survived by his wife Kathy (Weyant) Myers of Greenville. They were married June 6, 2015. Also son Gabriel C. Myers of Miamisburg; step sons Kirt (Mindy) Fletcher of Greenville, Scott Fletcher of Lafayette, Louisiana and William A. (Lori) Fletcher of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren Alyvia Myers, Emma Myers, Justin (Jessica) Fletcher, Jordan (Lee Duncan) Fletcher, Madison Fletcher, Trey Fletcher, Troy Fletcher, Kiara Fletcher, Jerry Emerson, Charlie Shepard and Chelsea Shepard and great grandchildren Silas Duncan, Benson Duncan, Bronx Bush, Brilei Fletcher, Bostyn Bailey and Jaeyden Emerson.

Tyrone Lee Fink (March 15, 2017)
Tyrone Lee Fink, 53, of New Madison, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at his residence of natural causes.
Tyrone was born Friday, January 31, 1964 in Dayton, to his loving parents Kenneth and Shirley (Hunt) Fink of New Madison.
In addition to his parents, Tyrone was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Alvera Fink and his maternal grandfather, Howard E. Hunt.
Tyrone was a 1982 graduate of Northmont High School and the auto body program at MCJVS.
In addition to his parents, Tyrone is survived by his brothers, Terris Fink and Timothy Fink, both of Dayton; his grandmother, Ruth (Horine) Hunt and a large extended family including aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a great niece and nephew.
In keeping with Tyrone's wishes, there will be no immediate service, however the family will hold a Celebration of Life service later in the Spring.

Russell I. “Ike” Marker (April 1, 2017)
Russell I. “Ike” Marker age 79, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 12:05 AM on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at State of the Heart Hospice Care Center in Greenville. Ike was born October 16, 1937, in Darke County to the late Harley E. & Julia A. (Bixler) Marker.
Ike is survived by a brother, Otha “Sonny” Marker of Greenville; sister, Margaret Mowery of Sidney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ike was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ora, Harley Jr., Richard & Donald Marker; and sisters, Maude Ellen Butts, Dorothy Lecklider and Juanita Baker.
Ike retired after 39 years from the Darke County Highway Department where he was assistant superintendent.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
