She married Robert (Bob) Wilson June 10, 1948. He preceded her in death December 2, 2010.
Survivors include son, Tom and wife, Sharon (Newman) Wilson of Greenville, two daughters, Joyce and husband Tony Ayette of Palestine and, Jane and husband Greg Eley of Brookville, Ohio. Eight grandchildren and spouses: Joe and Marla (Wietholter) Ayette; Alan and Erin (Crawford) Ayette; Julie (Wilson) and Dennis Ritchie; Beth (Eley) and Kevin Reed; Jacci (Ayette) Spencer; Brenda (Wilson) and Ryan Clemens; Karen (Eley) and Aaron Peak; Alicia (Ayette) and Dustin Swallow.
Twenty-one great grandchildren: Tanner, Sydney, Ashley and Audrey Ayette; Alia, Micah, Lydia and Zoe Ayette; Matthew Ritchie; Brenna and Brooke Reed; Caleb, Luke and Isaac Spencer; Brandon and Lauren Clemens; Troy and Kyle Peak; Ethan, Kaelan and Noah Swallow. Sisters: Betty Lou Mixon; Donna Bixler, Peggy, Karolyn and Marilyn Fellers. Brothers: Jack and wife Connie Fellers; Jim and wife Debbi Fellers. Two brothers-in-law: Bill and wife Josephine Wilson, Dan and wife Beverly Wilson. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by husband, parents, father and mother-in-law, Omer and Beatrice (Lindamood) Wilson, brothers-in-law: Ben Mixon, Gene Bixler, Sister-in-law, Mary Alice (Wilson) and husband Don Brewer, grandson-in-law, Wade Spencer.
She was a member of the Palestine Church of Christ and served as a Sunday School teacher and youth leader as well as being the church treasurer for many years. She liked to sew and made her daughters’ wedding gowns. She and her husband, Bob liked to set-up at local flea markets for a number of years. She was a graduate of Palestine High School in 1948.
Calling will be on Thursday July 13, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Friday 1 hour prior to the services in the church. Celebration of life will be 10:30 AM Friday July 14, 2017 at Greenville Church of the Brethren 421 Central Ave. Greenville, Oh 45331 with Pastor Mike Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at Palestine Cemetery.
