In addition to his mother, Larry is also survived by his wife, Carissima (Vecera) Rapier whom he married July 17, 1993; daughters, Carmella Rapier of Greenville, Megan Rapier of Greenville and Cassie Rapier of Greenville; grandchildren, Serenity June and Scarlett Ann; brother, Perry Rapier of Greenville; sister, Dee Combs of Greenville; pet beagle, Sonny; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Larry was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Rapier; and sister, Linda Monhollen.
Larry retired from Corning Glass in Greenville where he was also the representative for American Flint Glass Workers Union, AFL-CIO. Larry was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan, loved gardening, and watching the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? Larry’s main passion was his family and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 14, 2017, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Jesse Teal officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery in Darke County. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 14, 2017, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
