Donald Leroy Hittle (July 20, 2019)

Donald Leroy Hittle, 80 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Saturday July 20, 2019 at 9:30 PM at Wayne Healthcare. He was born May 22, 1939 in Rossburg, Ohio the son of the late Raymond and Edna Mae (Howell) Hittle. He worked for 26 years as a salesman at Sears in Greenville and then worked for 22 years in maintenance and security at the Brethren Retirement Community retiring in 2005.

He was a member of Gospel Baptist Church; he loved woodworking and watching racecars and the Cincinnati Reds.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his step son: John V. Crowell Jr. and his brothers: Junior Hittle and Alden Hittle.

He is survived by his wife: Marilyn S. (Depoy) Hittle of Greenville whom he married January 27, 1968; his children and spouses: Jeff & Cherie Hittle of Greenville, Jennifer & Gregory Peck of Bradford; his step daughter and spouse: JoEllen & Gery Melling of Greenville; 16 grandchildren 6 great grandchildren; his brother: Gary Hittle of Greenville.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Palestine Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Baptist Church.
