He worked at Corning Glass for 28 years and served in the United States Marine Corp. in Vietnam where he received 2 Purple Hearts with Cluster and A Bronze Star. He was a member of the V.F.W. of Greenville and American Legion Post # 140. He is preceded in death by his parents, and Nephew: Shane Smith.
He is survived by his Wife: Marlene (Wisecup) Shiverdecker of Greenville; Brother & Sister in law: David & Cheryl Shiverdecker of Greenville; Sisters & brothers in law: Susan & Terry Wolfe of Greenville, Jean & Brad Jones of Laura, & Janet Webb of Greenville; Aunt & uncle: Joe & Peggy Vannoy of Liberty, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins; & a good friend: Bob Cook of Ansonia.
There will be no services. Arrangements are being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be given to the Darke County Humane Society.
