Ben Winger, 23, of Union City, Ohio, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Monday afternoon, June 6, 2011 in the emergency room of Wayne Healthcare in Greenville.
He was born April 19, 1988 in Winchester, Indiana, son of Diane Idle of Union City, Ohio and Douglas Winger of Rossburg, Ohio.
Ben was a 2005 graduate of Versailles High School. He loved all sports including video games, the Indianapolis Colts, and NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Wanda Lee Idle; brother, Robin Idle; uncles, William Idle and Robert Idle; great grandmother, Bea Winger; and a cousin , Josh Rammel.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his brothers, Kyle Winger of Union City, OH, Shaun Winger of Union City, OH, Jarrod Idle of Knoxville, Tenn.; sisters, Misty Idle of Hagerstown, MD; grandfather, Robert C. Idle of New Weston; grandparents, Bruce and Evelyn Winger of Rossburg; special friend, Joe Vincell of Greenville; his nurse, Cheryl Hittle of Greenville; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Miami Memorial Park near Covington.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, from 5-8 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to help defray the funeral expenses.
