James L. Burden, age 82, of Eaton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 01, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Heartland of Eaton. He was born on January 16, 1931 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Rafe & Marie (Rickman) Burden.
James is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Jim & Elizabeth Burden of Eldorado, Ohio, JD & Stephanie Burden of Richmond, Indiana, and Robert & Stephanie Burden of Phoenix, Arizona; daughters and sons in law, Josephine & Jim Johncox of Delaware, Ohio, and Becky & Daniel Martinovich of Phoenix, Arizona; 17 grandchildren; sisters, Iowana McCown of Muncie, Indiana, and Carolyn Mubbs of Greenville, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Rebecca Jane Angel; sisters, Juanita Camacho and Wanda Burden; brothers, Kenneth, Harlen, Arther, and Richard Burden.
James was a member of the United States Army and worked at Westinghouse in Union City, Indiana, and also worked for Darke County in the Ditch Maintenance Department.
There will be memorial service held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Triumphant Christian Center, 1129 South Town Court, Greenville, Ohio, with Chaplain Candy Null officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
