Bevva L. Armstrong, age 83, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013 at 8:00 PM at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Unit, Greenville, Ohio. She was born on November 5, 1929 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Ormal & Mindie (Whittaker) Ross.She is survived by her husband, Joe Armstrong of Greenville, Ohio, whom she married on October 5, 1948; son and daughter in law, Bill & Jane Armstrong of Greenville; daughter and son in law, Linda & Robert Christman of Greenville; grandchildren, Scott (Angie) Armstrong, Ken (Aimee) Armstrong, Mark (Amanda) Armstrong, and Mike (Whitney) Christman; great grandchildren, Allie, Taylor, Jake, Josh, Bella, Lexi and Eli Armstrong, Wyatt Christman, Katie, Ben and Sam Oliver and Kennedi Strawser; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter in law, Dawn Armstrong; siblings, Marjorie Garbig, Mary Delk, Martha Bailey, Marvin Ross, Maurice Ross, Harry Ross and Robert Ross.
Bevva was a homemaker and loved to travel and play bridge. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville, Camping clubs and PTA.
There will be a service held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
