Karen was a homemaker, hairdresser and volunteer school teacher. Karen was a rotary exchange student. She attended Trinity Wesleyan Church in Greenville.
In addition to her mother, Karen is survived by her husband, Gordon Stone of Greenville whom she married September 12, 1981; daughters, Tara Mathisen of Lexington, Kentucky and Tanya Sime of Wilmore, Kentucky; grandchildren Chloe Sime and Simeon Sime; and a brother, Steve Oberer of Greenville.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 26, 2013 in the Trinity Wesleyan Church 1400 East Main Street Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Bob Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Township Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday 1 hour prior to the services in the Church.
