Charles William Foreman, age 87, of Palestine, OH, passed away, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at State of the Heart Hospice in Greenville.
He was born Monday, January 28, 1929 in Preble Co., OH, a son of the late Virgil and Marie (Crout) Foreman.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Unum, Reva Poling and Margaret Hoffman.
Charles was a member of the Palestine Church of Christ where he was a Deacon for many years. For over 20 years, he would make wooden toys for Toys For Tots. He was a farmer, plumber and owner of Acme Rural Sales in Palestine. Charles was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest.
Charles is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Yoder) Foreman, whom he married April 11, 1953; two sons, Michael (Paula) Foreman of New Madison, OH and Kevin Foreman of Arcanum, OH; two daughters, Kristy (Peter) Cutarelli of Greenville, OH and Lisa (Bradley) Miller of Palestine, OH; He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 8 step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy Hiatt of Palestine, OH and Patty Jenkins of Centerville, IN; one brother, James (Betty) Foreman of New Madison, OH.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Oliver Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Deacon Andy Rammel officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville, OH.
