Harry Beryl Breckenridge, 85, of Arcanum, died Thursday, June 14th, 2012 at Heartland of Greenville. Mr. Breckenridge was born in Bradford on June 30, 1926, the son of the late Roy Breckenridge and Olive A. (Skinner) Klopfer. He was the owner of the former Twin Appliance Store, Arcanum. He was a U.S. Army WW II veteran and member of the VFW Post 4161, Arcanum; member of the Arcanum Masonic Lodge, former council member for the village of Arcanum and a former BSA Scoutmaster. Beryl was preceded in death by 2 Brothers Lyle Shafer and Roy Milton Breckenridge. He is survived by his wife Patricia (Albrecht) Breckenridge, whom he married May 29, 1948; Daughter Sharon Stump and husband Billy of Coldwater; Sons Bill Carter and wife Linda of Piqua and Gary Breckenridge and wife Carol of Arcanum; Grandchildren Amee (Ryan) Selig, Jason (Jess) Carter, Emilee (Travis) Bird, Erin Carter, Brandi (Josh) Curtis, Rodney (April) Stump, and Megan (Andy) Pearson; Great Grandchildren Zao, Devon, and Dakota Curtis, Caden, Chase, Alex Stump, Zachary Carter, and Addyson Bird. Funeral Services will be held Noon on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Phillip Garbig officiating. Burial will follow in Abbottsville Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 1 hour before the service at the funeral home. Family suggests memorial contributions to Darke County Hospice.
