Lyda was a homemaker and Office Manager for 30 years for Spitler Insurance Agency, retiring in 1994. She was also a member of the Highland Brethren in Christ Church of West Milton, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Dwight W. Spitler July 3, 1991; daughter in law Kim Spitler; Sister Ruth Karr and Brother Pete Johnson.
Lyda is survived by her children Patricia (Barry) Ahr of Loveland, Ohio, Douglas Spitler of Englewood, Ohio, Thomas (Anita) Spitler of New Paris, Ohio and Stanley Spitler of Springfield, Ohio. Grandchildren Benjamin Spitler, Landon Spitler, Amanda (Spitler) Riffell, Carson Spitler, Jason Spitler, Grant Spitler, Ethan Spitler, Aaron Arnett, Aric Arnett and Alison Schmidbauer. Also 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Thursday February 6, 2014 in the Highland Brethren in Christ Church 7210 South Jay Road West Milton, Ohio with Pastor Todd Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in the Newcomer Cemetery Darke County, Ohio.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 5, 2014 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio and on Thursday 1 hour prior to the services in the church.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Highland Brethren in Christ Church or Hospice of Dayton.
