Paul Wayne Schultz age 88, of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 6:14 A.M. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Greenville. Paul was born November 12, 1925 in Troy, Ohio to the late Otho & Mabel (Snyder) Schultz.
Paul is survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna (Sander) Schultz whom he married October 2, 1948; children, Wayne Allen & Renee Schultz of Nashville, Tennessee, Linda & Dan Curtis of Greenville, Ohio, LuAnn & Mike Boyer of Greenville, Ohio and Mark Schultz of Tipp City, Ohio; grandchildren, Benjamin Schultz, Andrew Schultz, Simon Schultz, Amanda & Justin Hines, Andrea Boyer, Amelia Schultz and Nikolas Schultz; great-grandchildren, Sophia Schultz, Samara Schultz and Maleah Hines; brothers & sisters-in-law, Harold & Thelma Schultz of Versailles and Roy & Carolyn Schultz of Union City, Ohio; sisters & brothers-in-law, Joan McCarter of Bradenton, Florida, Janice & Raymond Turner of Union City, Indiana and Betty & Ira Shafer of Winchester, Indiana; sister-in-law, Betty Schultz Dankworth of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Paul is also preceded in death by his brother, Gale Schultz.
Paul served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Paul was a farmer and factory worker. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. John Lutheran Church 7418 State Route 121 North, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Patti Morelock officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the Greenville Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
