Maxine was born April 27, 1929, in Greenville to the late Robert A. & B. Marie (Rank) Miller. In addition to her parents, Maxine was also preceded in death by her husband, Dane D. Martin on August 6, 1982, whom she married May 29, 1962; and brothers, James Robert & Carey Richard Miller.
Maxine is survived by her son, Dwight Martin of Greenville; daughter & son-in-law, Denise & Jerry Holsapple of New Madison; grandsons, Zackary & Andrew Holsapple of New Madison; brother & sister-in-law, Keith Ronald & Betty Miller of Greenville; sisters, Janice Wolf of Greenville and Roberta Rogers of Arcanum; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maxine was a 1947 graduate of Greenville High School. Maxine operated Western Union in Greenville, clerk at the Bureau of Unemployment in Greenville and worked for SCOPE in Darke County. Maxine was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church in Greenville and the Greenville V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Terry Haworth officiating. Burial will follow in Brock Cemetery near Brock. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
