Jane Ann Morrison, 77 of Arcanum, Ohio passed away suddenly in the Emergency Room at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio on Sunday July 29, 2018 at 12:09 AM. She was born in the family home in Arcanum, Ohio on December 8th, 1940, the second of three children of Lester G. & Madge (White) Bailey.
Jane was a loving mother and proud of her (as she always said) “Her” 4 boys and their families! She was a graduate of Arcanum High School. She was raised in a Christian home and carried those high Christian teachings through her lifetime. Jane’s priority was raising her 4 sons and being a volunteering parent in all their activities.
She had credits from Miami University at Oxford. She worked in the Arcanum High School Office for several years. Jane was a devout friend to several high school classmates and others she learned to know. Jane worked for a number of years at Good Samaritan Hospital in the “Life Stages Office.”
Jane is preceded in death by her parents.
She and her husband John R. Morrison just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Jane married the love of her life John R. Morrison on June 30th, 1958. To this union were four sons: J. Brent (Jenny) Morrison, Kirk A. (Linda) Morrison, T. Scott (Kimberly) Morrison, & Mark T. (Elaine) Morrison; nine grandchildren: Trent Morrison, Alyssa (Tyler) Tatum, Aaron (Stephanie) Morrison, Megan Roberts, Lindsey (Anthony) Terrace, Tyler (Kayla) Morrison, Bethany (John) Sharp, Heather (Eric) Wood, Ryan (Vanity Valenzuela) Gebhart, Jennifer Allen, Stephanie ( Andy) Tarter; great grandchildren: Bella, Blake, Mason, Jori, Jack, Aiden, Tarrin, Chloe, Jaxen, Abraham, Isaac, Mikala, Ezra, & Noah; brother: Joe W. (Wanda) Bailey; sister: Shirley Jean Bailey; sister in law: Alice Ann (Charlie Crumrine) Brown; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday August 2, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Knoke officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arcanum Rescue.
