Gene was employed for 20 plus years with Marsh Supermarkets and retired in 2012 from their store in Eaton, Ohio where he had been employed as the Dairy Manager. He was a 1979 graduate of Greenville High School and over the years, he enjoyed fishing, basketball and softball.
Survivors in addition to his mother Linda are his daughters Chantele (Brian) Combs of Hamilton, Ohio, Krysten Mikesell and Lauren Mikesell both of Eaton; grandchildren Rylee Combs and Eli Combs; Siblings Kathy Fantasia, Jana Dowler, Todd Mikesell, and Susan (Doug) Jones all of Greenville as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday May 22, 2021 in the Triumphant Christian Center 1129 Southtowne Court Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Sam Shilot officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until time of the Celebration of Life service in the Christian Center.
Gene’s family have requested those in attendance to “come as you are” dressing very casual and please pay special attention to the back page of the funeral memorial folder as the verse was written by Gene.
Also, it is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Cancer Association of Darke County.
