Donald "Pap" J. Miniard, 60, of West Manchester died Wednesday April 29, 2009 at Heartland of Greenville after a long courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Miniard was born April 2, 1949 in Perry County, Kentucky, son of the late Burley Miniard and Lena (Bubnick) who survives. Donald was a heavy equipment operator for the Jurgensen, Miller Brothers, & Mt. Pleasant Black Topping. Mr. Miniard was a 30 year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. Donald was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a Bass Pro Fisherman. Pap was a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, & Brother. He was preceded in death by his brother Dale Miniard. Donald is survived by his wife Patricia Isaacs Miniard, whom he married on February 14, 1970; sons Donald (Rhonda) Miniard, Jr. of Greenville and Robert Daniels of Hollansburg; 7 Grandchildren Mikey, Courtney, Jessica, Nick, Jeramie, Jack, and Zack; 3 sisters Helen Caldwell of Centerville, Shirley (Michael) Mantell of Florida, and Janette (Bill) Noggle of Greenville; brother Bill Miniard of Wooton, KY. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday May 2, 2009 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Pastor John Wiltshire officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Trotwood.
