Frederick Lynn Feitshans, 67, of Arcanum, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 26, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Feitshans was born in Darke County on September 12, 1941, the son of the late Harold K. and Gladys Marie (Welbaum) Feitshans who survives. He was a member of West Grove United Church of Christ.Fred was a former member of the Pitsburg Lions Club, a member of the F-M Little League Hall of Fame and a member of the P.P. & G. morning men's club. He was a lifelong Monroe Township farmer. Mr. Feitshans was a Printer at McCall Printing, Dayton for 22 years, and Central Printing for 20 years retiring in 2004. He enjoyed coaching F-M Little League and F-M Youth Basketball for many years and loved and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in all of their activities.
Fred was an avid gardener, enjoyed fishing, horse racing, golf and liked spending time with his whole family.
He is survived by his wife Linda Kay (Dershem) Feitshans whom he married June 15, 1963; son Michael L. Feitshans and wife Carrie of Arcanum; daughters Kimberly K. Kimmel and husband Scott of New Madison and Kelly S. Fourman and husband David of Arcanum; Grandchildren Nathan L. Feitshans and Travis S. Feitshans, Cameron S. Kimmel, Brandy S. Fourman, Devin M. F. Fourman; Mother Gladys Marie Feitshans Hines; Brother Robert L. Feitshans and wife Joyce of Arcanum; loving Mother-in-law Irene Dershem; and Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Lehman officiating. Burial will follow in Mote Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday 4 - 8 PM at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum. The family suggests memorial contributions to Pitsburg Fire Dept., Arcanum Community Rescue Service and Grace United Methodist Church.
