P. Irene Marker, age 91 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Sunday April 22, 2012 at 12:00 AM at the Brethren Retirement Community, Greenville, Ohio. She was born June 17, 1920 in Darke County, Ohio the daughter of the late Ezra & Mary (Blinn) Bowman. She was a homemaker & mother; she also was a bookkeeper for her husbands business.

She was a member of the Eastern Star; she was an avid fisherman & mushroom hunter; she loved her grandkids & great grandkids; she loved mowing grass and traveling and seeing new places.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: J.B. Marker in 1978; son: John H. “Jack” Marker; brothers: Bob & Richard Bowman; Sister: Florence Corbly.

She is survived by her son: Bob Marker of Freemont, Ohio; daughter: Janice Cox of Greenville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; & numerous nieces & nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday April 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Richard Shockney officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund.
