Dorthea Faye Cook, 88, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at her home in Matlacha, Florida.
She was born February 7, 1926 in Greenville, OH, daughter of the late Chester and Gennieve Mong. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Chalmer Clawson and Ray Cook, brothers, LaDon Mong, Morris Mong; sisters, Cathryn Byrne, and Jennetta Stockslager; and a nephew, Donnie Mong.
She is survived by her nephews, Ronald Mong of Upper Sandusky, OH, Mikel Byrne, Middlesboro, KY, John Stockslager, Harold Stockslager both of Greenville, OH, Phillip Stockslager of Nashville, TN; and a niece, Janet Hunley of Indianapolis, IN.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 7, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Tony Hunley, Faye's great nephew, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
