Hobart is survived by his companion, Jane Ganger of Greenville, Ohio; children, Jackie Jackson of Greenville, Ohio, Tony Gilbert of Union City, Ohio, Terry Gilbert of Greenville, Ohio, Bobby Gilbert of Greenville, Ohio and Toby Gilbert of Greenville, Ohio; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Mary Lou Summers of Greenville, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Hobart is also preceded in death by his wife, Lorene (Campbell) Gilbert in 1994.
Hobart served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1975 during the Vietnam War. Hobart retired from Fram Corporation in Greenville. Hobart was a life member of the Greenville V.F.W. and member of the Greenville American Legion.
A celebration of Hobart’s Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Greenville V.F.W. 219 North Ohio Street Greenville. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Condolences for the family may be expressed through www.zecharbailey.com
