Wally is survived by his wife, Paula (McEldowney) Day whom he married October 21, 2006; sons & daughters-in-law, Jeffrey & Kress Day of Hamburg, New York and Scott & Nichole Day of Orchard Park, New York; step daughter, Carrie Clemons of Union City, Indiana; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wally is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
Wally served in the U.S. Army in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a retired restaurant manager.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Dennis Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles with Military Honors conducted by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
