She was a deputy clerk for the Common Pleas Court for 8 years and clerk of the Darke County Court for 26 years retiring in 1984.
Phyllis was a 1937 graduate of Greenville High School, attended 2 years at a business college, a member of the First Congregational Christian Church of Greenville and a former member of the Beta Sigma Pi Sorority.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Loel E. Brumbaugh December 7, 1995. They were married August 9, 1945. Also her daughter Sheryl A. Moorman in 1995 and brother Robert O. Burns.
Phyllis is survived by grandchildren Stacy (Chris) Sykes of Greenville and Sean (Wendy) Moorman of Ft. Loramie ; great grandchildren Alexia Sykes, Brandon Sykes, Asia Sykes, Owen Moorman and Sierra Moorman.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday August 18, 2014 in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Don Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday August 18, 2014 1 hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to First Congregational Christian Church.
