Fraley, Dale Eugene, 72, passed away September 6, 2014 at his home with family by his side, from a long illness. He was born July 3, 1942 to Millard and Mae Fraley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Kriss, in 1963. He is survived by sons, Darren (Darlene) Fraley of South Carolina, Dane Fraley of Oxford, Ohio and Bryan (Ricky) Fraley of Dayton, six grandchildren and caregivers, Roger & Karen Henline, and brother, Douglas (Judy) Fraley of Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.
Dale was a graduate of Westmont High School and received his Master’s degree in Education from Morehead State University. He taught high school math for 30 years, retiring from Ansonia, and was a professor at Ivy Tech for an additional 12 years. He served as Mayor of West Manchester for many years, served on the Village Volunteer Fire Department for over 25 years, village council, water board and park board. He was a deacon in the Palestine Church of Christ. As per his wishes, there was a private burial service on September 9, 2014 at the Palestine, Ohio Cemetery.
