Janet K. Richhart (September 21, 2014)

Janet K. Richhart age 77, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at 7:30 A.M. on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Versailles Health Care Center. Janet was born May 1, 1937 in Hollansburg, Ohio to the late Amon F. & Leatha I. (Sharitt) Richards.

Janet is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Mark & Vicki Richhart of Versailles; daughters & sons-in-law, Robin D. & Gary Middendorf of Versailles, Randi & Dan Smith of Versailles and Tiffany & Andy Clark of Versailles; grandchildren, Ryan Ruchty, Dereck Smith, Kellie Hecht, Logan Clark, Meredyth Clark and Evan Clark; step grandchildren, Erin Shaffer, Jason Leach and Derek Middendorf; 16 great-grandchildren; special friend, Don Plessinger of Versailles; brothers & sisters-in-law, Danny & Wilma Richards of Hollansburg, Tom & Carol Richards of Hollansburg, Gene Richards of Hollansburg and Gary Richards of Hollansburg; sister, Joan (Teaford) Bennett of Klamath Falls, Oregon; brother-in-law, Russell Tedy of Hickory, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Joanne Stocksdale of Greenville, Wanda Staley of Versailles, Sue Richards of Hollansburg and Shirley Richhart of West Milton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eddy Richhart on December 16, 1977 whom she married October 30, 1959; son, Tony Richhart; brothers, Bill, Jack, Amon Niles and Steve Richards; and sisters, Jane Weschke, Sue Kenworthy and Lois Crist.

Janet formerly worked at Poultry Producers in Versailles, Star Greenhouse in North Star and the Inn at Versailles. She was a member of the American Legion and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Versailles.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Dennis Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
