Waldo F. “Wally” Bartram age 68, of Versailles, Ohio passed away at suddenly at 9:40 P.M. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Houghton Lake, Michigan while vacationing with his family. Wally was born July 14, 1946 in Danbury, Connecticut to the late Basil K. & Dorothy (Arlich) Bartram.
Wally is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Darlene A. (Bey) Bartram whom he married June 6, 1975; sons & daughters-in-law, Gunnar Michael Bartram of Sidney, Ohio, Bryan Steven & Amy Bartram of Versailles, Ohio and Lance Fairfield & Kari Bartram of Liberty, Indiana; grandchildren, Zachary, Hayden, Ayla, Alayna, Lucy & Camry Bartram; brothers & sisters-in-law, Bart & Dorothy Bartram of New Milford, Connecticut, David Bartram of Hartford, Connecticut and Bill & Ann Bartram of Miami, Florida; sisters & brother-in-law, Sharon Bartram of New York and Nona & Tony Talerical of Schroon Lake, New York; father-in-law, Wilmer J. Bey of Versailles; brother-in-law, Steven L. Bey & Rhonda Poling of Versailles; close relatives, Phil Stutz and family of Rossburg, Ohio and Bob Stutz of Rossburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wally was also preceded in death by his sisters, Florence Oberstat, Betty LeClair and Dorothy Stock; and mother-in-law, Phyllis J. (Stutz) Bey.
Wally served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal with Combat V, Vietnamese Gallantry Cross with a Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with device, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Purple Heart Medal with a Bronze Star. Wally was a retired truck driver.
