Paul M. Dapore (January 27, 2019)

Paul M. Dapore age 85, of Versailles passed away at 6:55 PM on Sunday, January 27, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Paul was born July 22, 1933, in Houston, Ohio, to the late George & Celena (Magato) Dapore. In addition to his parents, Paul was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Joseph Dapore; brother, Michael Dapore; sisters, Rita Pohl and Mary Ann Arling; brothers-in-law, Frank Arling and James Tangeman.

Paul is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary “Kay” (Tangeman) Dapore whom he married July 10, 1965; children, Alan & Kathy Dapore of Ansonia, Carol Mayer of Xenia and Brian & Kelly Dapore of Ansonia; grandchildren, Bryan & Anne McEldowney, Bradley & Tiffany McEldowney, Anthony Mayer, Ross Dapore, Grace Dapore, Macy Dapore and Vivian Dapore; great-grandchildren, Jacob McEldowney, Aidan McEldowney, Wyatt McEldowney, Bentley McEldowney, Nash McEldowney and Skylar McEldowney; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Lavern Pohl of Chickasaw, Robert Tangeman of Coldwater and Richard & Marcia Tangeman of Lambertville, Missouri, Judy Tangeman of Charleston, South Carolina and Sue Tangeman of Sikeston, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paul served in the U.S. Army. He was owner of Dapore Brothers Farm Machinery Versailles, Ohio. Paul was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles.

Paul’s family would like to thank State of the Heart Care, Dr. James Schwieterman and Dr. Jerry Boley for the above and beyond care given to their husband and father.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 31, 2019, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Simons celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles with military honors conducted by the Versailles Veteran’s Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles.
