Dave “Bubba” Willoughby (January 23, 2020)
Dave “Bubba” Willoughby, 53, of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Life Care Hospital in Miamisburg, Ohio.
Dave was born on August 13, 1966, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Pat and Jan (King) Willoughby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Irlene Willoughby; and his niece Sara Willoughby.
If you had the distinct pleasure of meeting Dave "Bubba" Willoughby, you would never forget him. He was one of a kind. He loved people, he loved talking, and loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with a chair. Dave attended the Pleasant View Missionary Church and loved to fellowship with his church community He served his country honorably in the United States Army. He had many interests and passions, such as deer hunting, camping, and storm chasing. Dave has even been known to chase a tornado or two. However, his greatest passion was his wife, Tina, and his son, Hunter. Most people didn't know that Dave wanted to have twins, so he could name them Bo and Hunter in recognition of his love of bow hunting. Since one baby is all that arrived, he was happy naming him Hunter. Nothing made Dave more proud than watching Hunter participate in cross-country and track.
Dave was an outdoorsman with his favorite color being camo. His love of camping was fostered by the many camping trips he went on with his parents and siblings when he was younger. He and his brothers were always into some shenanigans. These trips could be called the adventures of the Willoughby brothers, or the torment of Kathy. She was always getting the short end of the stick when her brothers were up to no good. As an adult, Dave still had a great love of nature and camping, especially taking his family to Ludlow Falls Church Camp. He will always be present wherever his family might be, and they will continue looking for deer through their car windows, just for him.
Dave is survived by his wife of 20 years, Tina (Artz) Willoughby, whom he married April 22, 2000; his son, Hunter Willoughby, of Arcanum; his brothers, Pat Willoughby and his wife Becci, of Beavercreek, Ohio, and their daughter, Rachel, and his twin brother, Dan Willoughby and his wife Kim of Canadian Lakes, Michigan; his sister, Kathy Willoughby of West Carrollton, Ohio, and her son, Nelson; his father and mother-in-law, Dan and Paula Artz of Arcanum; his sisters-in-law, Pam Whitaker and her husband, Jon, and their children Mason, Micah, and Faith, Andrea Jenkins and her husband, Andy, and their children, Shane and Ashley; his stepbrothers, Larry, Greg, and Jeff; his stepsister, Diane; and various aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Dave’s life, with full military honors provided by the Greenville Honor Guard, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Pleasant View Missionary Church, 5231 Gettysburg – Pitsburg Road, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Sean Martin officiating.
Guests may visit with Dave’s family on Saturday, from 11:00 AM until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be given to Dave’s family to help with his medical expenses and any future needs that Tina or Hunter might have.

Billy "Bill" F. Taylor (January 27, 2020)
Billy "Bill" F. Taylor, age 89 of Greenville, Ohio passed away peacefully at 6:30 PM at the Versailles Health Care Center, on January 27, 2020. Born in Rossburg, Ohio on April 23, 1930 he was the only child born to the late Glenn & Fern (Birt) Taylor.
After graduating from Ansonia High School, Bill served in the United States Army Medical Corp from 1951-1953. He then went on to work at the FRAM Corp, where he met the love of his life, Kathleen, or as she was known to the Frammers at the time as "Hoppy". They both worked for FRAM for over 40 years, and even rode to work together for over 30 years. He retired from Honeywell with 41 years seniority in 1996. During that time, they had Robert, their only child. Bill was described as the “ultimate band parent”, chaperoning band trips and hosting large band parties at their home, while always supporting and encouraging Robert throughout the years.
He and the family loved to travel, and had visited most places all over the United States, and was fortunate enough to travel to Hawaii and Europe. One of his favorite places to visit was to sit quietly along a bubbling creek in Gatlinburg and listen to the world go by. It was very important to him to show his family as much of the world as he could, a lesson he learned from his parents. In all his travels he liked to sample the different varieties of food and was a "foodie" before his time.
Bill was an excellent roller skater and in his youth went skating almost every weekend. He always worked on keeping the family cars spotless, enjoyed gardening and just watching the "posies" grow. He will truly be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Kathleen “Kathy” Taylor in 2011.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Betsy) Taylor of Middletown, Ohio.
Friends may call on the family from 9:00 AM-10:30 AM on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, OH. Funeral service to follow at 10:30 AM with Pastor Todd Reish presiding. Burial to follow at Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio where military honors will be performed by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard. Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice. Online sympathies www.zecharbailey.com.
